Terms of Service

DISCLAIMER
By commissioning or owning a design created by Chiimira, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and fully agreed to be bound by the following information listed in this T.O.S.Failing to comply with these terms may result in being blacklisted & blocked. If the issue is especially severe (EX. Getting scammed by a client/Threatening behavior) a public service announcement will be published on Chiimira’s active social media handles to warn fellow artists about said clients' inappropriate attitude.The Terms of Service are also subject to change without prior notice if minor revisions are needed, mainly to further specify on previously vague information (if there is any at the time of writing these guidelines)
If the guidelines undergo a major revision, such as adding a new category to the terms, a new notice will be issued for returning clients.

GENERAL TERMS

(Tumblr link is listed at the home page)Commissions are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Commission slots are usually capped to 4 at MAX, and once all slots are filled, commission availability will be closed for a time.
If more than 4 slots are opened at a time, it indicates emergency commissions being underway, this will also be explicitly announced while advertising opened commissions slots.
Commissioned artwork is for personal use only. (EX. Icons, profile pictures, and reposts) Upon doing this, proper credit to any of the Artist’s social media handles is required.Clients claiming the artwork as their own or removing/editing the Artist’s signature outright is prohibited. Feeding the artwork to AI Training & NFT usage is also prohibited.Throughout the commission process, mutual respect is expected between Artist and client.
The Artist reserves the right to decline commission requests that’s deemed uncomfortable, inappropriate, or beyond what they can currently draw.

PAYMENT GUIDELINES
Updated: 7/24/2025Accepted payment methods: Paypal invoices & Kofi only.Clients must provide clear references for visual details of the character they want drawn, along with poses, desired expressions, and background references if they desire for a complex scene. Failure to provide references may result in the commission being denied.There’s always two rounds of revisionary periods.
Round 1, WIP Phase: 3 free edits MAX
Round 2, Color Blocking Phase: 2 free edits MAXAny edit requests beyond these two phases and into the late rendering phase will incur an additional $5 fee.(Temporary Change)
Regardless of price, 50% of the payment is required upfront once heavily watermarked WIPs/Progress Shots are sent to the client through DMs. After more heavily watermarked progress shots are shown to the client post 50% payment, the rest of the money must be sent. Only then will the Artist finish rendering the commission, removing the heavy watermarks, and submitting the final version to the client.Since I'm new to Paypal at the moment (I've been accepting nitro gifts & game currencies for commissions up until this point) I have to put in the work of becoming an established seller. Once I meet the requirements, this change will be reversed.The commissioned artwork will be delivered digitally in PNG through Discord or Tumblr, no physical products will be shipped.

ILLUSTRATION RIGHTS
The Artist has the rights to ownership, rights to use the artwork for samples, and the rights to use the artwork for portfolio reasons. Unless requested to be a private commission, the artwork will also have a watermarked stamp if the Artist chooses to show the commissioned artwork publicly as an example.

TURNAROUND TIME
Turnaround time varies from 1-2 weeks on average. If the composition is especially complex + the Artist is preoccupied with school/health related-delays, the maximum turnaround time could extend up to 1-2 months.Communication throughout the commission process is essential, if the client ghosts the Artist for a full month after discussions begin, the client will be notified one more time about the commission being terminated and a slot will open back up accordingly.

REFUNDING
Refunds are not accepted unless in rare circumstances where the Artist is unable to finish the commission within 3 months.
